The Disruptions in higher education: Impact and implication book series critically explores the evolving landscape of higher education in the Global South, particularly emphasising its transformation in response to internal and external imperatives. It examines how the sector navigates competing and complementary forces, such as decolonisation and the Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR), and their impact on institutional identity, teaching and learning, governance, and knowledge production. The series invites both theoretical and empirical contributions that interrogate the tensions, opportunities, and innovations shaping higher education’s future across diverse Global South contexts. It aims to contribute to the development of new knowledge ecosystems by scholars who draw from local realities while engaging globally.
