Meet the Author: Verskyning en verdwyning van ‘n verligte mens: ‘n Boeddha in Theravāda perspektief, mistiek vertolk

Join the author as he adds to the depth and breadth of Afrikaans by translating selected parts of some Pali suttas dealing with the birth of a previous Buddha (Vipassi). The book is scheduled to be published during Quarter Four 2022.

This book contributes by exploring the role of myth and seeks to plumb the mythological context; and seeks to focus on the different ways in which traditional orthodox Christianity sought, and seeks, to reconcile theory and mythology and on how this critical dimension was dealt with in Buddhism.
